I'm new at this and am researching equipment for a larger fresh water tank. (something between a 55 and 125 gallon cant afford any larger)

Can anyone tell me where to go to find basic info on things like what is the 1) best brand of canister filter, 2) what is a protien skimmer, 3) and a sump? and why would I want one?

Thanks,

Sheldon

I'd start reading the marine section of wetwebmedia (there's a section for equipment, plus all the other things you will need to read up on). http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/index.htm
