Beautful plants! I'm green w/envy. I agree: you need more barbs and less sharks if you really have 21. They can be agressive.:w00t:

If you transfer everything over (including filter media, gravel, and plants), no, you will not need to cycle it (much anyway). You may still see a slight ammonia or nitrite spike, but it is likely that if you do, it will be very short lived (a few days maybe). I'd still test the ammonia and nitrite daily for a week to be sure.

When you do transfer them over, you are going to want to cut back significantly on red tailed sharks (unless that is a typo and you really only have one or two, not 21). They grow to six inches each and would need a 100+ gallon tank all to themselves for that many. Also, you may want to rehome the chinese algae eater. They grow to about a foot and turn aggressive as they mature, chasing other fish and sucking the slime coat off of the ones they can catch like a parasite. They don't even eat algae after they mature, so you lose their one benefit. A couple of nice siamese algae eaters or a dwarf pleco would be better. And you should add to your barbs schools...you'll want at least six or seven of each because it will keep them from nipping other fish, and they'll be happier.

your pictures are really beautiful. You might want to just move everything in that tank over to your big one when you get it. Not only are you overstocked, but even that amazon sword plant is going to be too big for that little tank. It's really healthy beautiful though. I'm envious.:)

Thanks,yea it's to the point with that tank that you cant even see all the fish due to it being so cluttered. there is another piece of drift wood i had to take out cause it was just over kill.

I cant wait for my tank i just wonder if i transfer everything over will i still have to cycle my tank?

here are a few shots of one of my first tanks (ok i confess it's my first tank in 12 years). it's a 12 G cube it's base is live sand some now illegal to import word from Africa ( well that was the selling point from the guy at the fish shop). there are two tiger barbs, 21 red tail sharks i fish that i have no idea what it is are where it came from it looks like some kind of white barb, another ugly as fish my wife brought to my office one day and yellow shell snail and also one Chinese algae eater that has grown way bigger then i thought possible (the dam thing is almost 3 inches).

anyway here come the pics.

I think i may have bit off more then i can chew as i just ordered a 55g sea clear tank last week, boy is that going to be fun stocking.
