I went away to my aunts for a week and a half, to baby sit her kids.  While I was gone, my little sister poured half the fish food into there small 10-gallon tank.  Afterwards, she closed the door behind her.  Since it was night, and they'd already been fed, nobody was in my room again until about 12:00pm the next day, my mom saw the tank and did a 75% water change, but it was too late, they were already dead.  All thats left of the tank is my betta (which had survived the same thing in a different tank...)

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE:

  • COFFEE
  •  KIWI
  • GOLDIE
  • MIDNIGHT JR.
  •  MR. BRAINIAC
  • LEO

It hurts to lose your pets to an accident:(. Be patient with your sibling.

It's just sad there are some things we just can't control. Your sister probably didn't konw any better and thought they looked hungry...

Sorry for your loss.

Yea, and she's only 3, so I don't think she knew any better either way.  Coffee and Kiwi were my two favorites -- and I feel a bit guilty too, I'm glad I wasn't there to see them dead, my mom burried them in the backyard.  But after this, I don't think I could own another goldfish ever again, either.

I'm sorry for your loss. Goldfish are highly personable fish and I think are on the same level as dogs as far as companionship. But in all honesty that was a LOT of goldfish for a 10 gallon tank.

Please do not think in those terms - Your aquapuppies gave you such great joy- I truly believe that not ever owning another goldie again dishonors their memory - I know this sounds crazy - - however - you took such great care and they returned - to you - joy - learn to handle and deal with the sadness - learn from that which caused their death so that it weill never be possible to have it happen again - Offer a great life to another Goldie as you did those which were so precious to you-

Below is a link to one of my favorites - Punch - a very unique animal as you will see - I know there will be a day when he will pass away - - but if I know in my heart that I did everthing possible to provide a great life - while learning from him - it would be such a waste not to put into practice what I learned from him by continuing with a new generation - nothing will replace him - nor should it - do not waste all the knowledge you gleaned from raising them - go out and get a new aquapuppy!!!! Check out the link to Punch and enjoy -
