This male shows a definite protective posture - the fin fully raised -

He is not usually aggressive toward me until spawning -

In that mode - look out - you can tell by his posture LOL

Interesting. A couple months ago PrincessSotfu had baby goldfish. I'm wondering what the calico and gold fantail cross will look like?? maybe it'll be gold with speckles. Or the fry will be half gold babies and half calico. Who knows?

How could you suggest such a thing??? LOLLOLLOL

DO you know how many eggs she put out at one time? IT was like the scene you get when you turn a snow globe over with a christmas scene - I have no intention of becomming a supplier to PetSmart - LOL

Although supplying to petco will easily get some credit for fish supplies.

Thats true - and I would rather do it with PetCo instead of PetSmart in that the tanks here in Chicago are beyond what I describe as animal cruelty.
