So sorry! If I were you, I would tell your sister that you forgive her, and then teach her how to properly clean tanks, maybe test her on it a little, and then get her her own small aquarium so that she can prove to you she's resomsible and won't ever do something like that again. just suggestions....

Wow. don't be too hard on her dude. Unless she knew any better (Which she might not have) Just let her know it was a mistake and you forgive her. Remember, you never know how much your actions impact someone that small who most likely looks up to you very much!

I remember I yelled at my 12 yr old sister pretty harshly one time when she accidentally let my fish fiona get sucked up the water changing tube. I told her to watch the bucket while I washed my hands so water wouldn't spill out. I failed to mention to watch to see if fiona gets too close. Fiona's ok, but I've always felt REALLY crappy about how I yelled at my sister.

I'm so sorry. I know what it feels like to have your siblings not like (or in your case even kill, even though it's by accident). My brother always says how he hates all my pets except my Leopard Gecko. And if I ask him to take care of my pets just one night he won't do it (including my Leopard Gecko). And he calls my prized Crested Gecko dumb, which makes me very mad. Because whenever he sees it he's like, "Hey Dumbo!". I feel for you...

Wow that stinks... if i were you id have my parents talk to her or something. shed probably understand after that and not do it again. I hope my baby sister doesnt do anything like that in a couple years when she can get around the house...

i come home from school to find my prized 5 year old jack dempsey stuck up against the filter intake tube, DEAD. after a long interogation with my sister i concluded that the evil girl murdered him. i did a thourough investigation of the tank to find a blob of white softsoap floating by the filter tube.
