I would definitely not keep seahorses with any other fish with the possible exception of pipefish, and most certainly not with and anemone which would likely eat the seahorses. I would decide now whether you and your friend want a seahorse species tank or a reef (which adding an anemone makes the tank, even if there are no other Cnidarians) because doing both in one tank would be terribly irresponsible IMO. The other fish would make a great little community to go in a 65g reef with the possible exception of the two firefish which may fight. Seahorses aren't the easiest of fishes to keep to start with. Captive bread being more hardy than wild caught, but still not "HARDY". I wouldn't keep them in anything but a species system myself. They can't take strong current or stiff feeding competition. Your corals are going to need more water motion than the seahorses will be able to navigate. They are a thick but small starfish. They are blue with a bright red center. They are really cool, but I can't find any information on them. Maybe now you recognize it now, sorry I don't know its scientific name. :D</P><P>Anyway about the anemone, my friend really wanted it but I had to convince him not to get it especially with the seahorses (even without them it still wouldn't be good). ;)</P><P>But for the fish, the guy at my LFS said we could buy the fish, try it out in the tank, see its personality (i.e. fast to get food, agressive, outgoing) and if it was bad we could bring it back and try another. And all these fish are not naturally fast to get food or agressive.</P><P>For seahorses you feed them brine shrimp right? So he would get tongs and place it in front of the seahorses, and they would eat it eventually. And for the other fish we would just feed them marine pellets right before we feed the seahorses so they don't steal food. You really don't want seahorses to have to compete for food, they WILL loose. About the only other fish I would keep in a tank with seahorses are pipefish. Another issue is the size food needed to feed seahorses. They have very small mouths and can't ingest the same foods that you would typically feed say clownfishes. All of the other fish you've listed should (including the firefish) work very nicely in a 65g. Since they're all relatively non aggressive , smaller fish, they should make a good comunity. You may be able to add one or two more depending on size, but I'd start with what you've listed.<P>Your list of inverts sounds reasonable as well. Not really sure what a Sunkist Starfish is. You may want to make sure it's compatible with all of its tankmates. It is a pretty tall tank and is really nice looking. Here is a list of what we're putting in it and if you think it is crowded or can fit more or isn't compatible please let me know.<P>Fish: 2 Captive Bred Reidi Seahorses (<EM>Hippocampus Reidi</EM>), 1 Diamond Watchman Goby (<EM>Valencia puellaris</EM>), 1 Clarkii Clownfish (<EM>Amphibrion Clarkii</EM>), and possibly (if room) 2 Firefish (<EM>Nemateleotris magnifica</EM>)</P><P>Invertabrates: 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (<EM>Lysmata amboinensis</EM>), Sunkist Starfish, Fiji Live Rock, Caribbean Live Sand, Colt Coral and other soft corals, I'll take suggetions on good ones!</P><P>Can he put in the Firefish?
