My good friend Brad Metz (he who breeds zebra plecos and a bunch of other L-numbers) and I watching the fish in my 300 gallon tank, when two of the adult Heckel discus started with some courting behavior. The two pix below show the two fish about 20 seconds apart. In the first one, strips are as normal. In the second pic, the male has flashed his middle stripe to complete pale white. Fish are just so much fun to watch. Sorry that the tank glass is so messy.
