I think my goldfish are getting too crowded so, I'm thinking of building a small pond. Maybe 125 gallons or something. My goldfish are common goldfish. If they went in a 125 gallon pond could I add 2 shubunkins?

Why not go all out? A 500 gallon pond is so much more fun. Also, most experts recommend 35-50 gallons per goldfish when you keep them in ponds.

i don't think it'd be a problem.....a shubunkin will be fast enough to exist w/ the common, and vice versa. the problem would be if you mixed some of the fancier, fatter bodied, types w/ fast ones, say comets. i know my comets outside are extremely fast and like a typical goldfish will eat til they explode if given the chance. that's why i say the slower ones wouldn't last....they'd starve! but i'm running off on a tangent.....
