I understand the importance of getting the water temperature close when transferring my goldfish from the tank back to the pond. Also allowing the mixing of waters over a period of time.

My question is in the pond there will be a night/day difference of 15 degrees as far as I can tell. They tolerated this quite well last year but now they have been in stable temps, all winter.

At what night time temperatures would it be considered safe for transference?

We just let our gold fish in our pond

WE have a gold fish thats 5 years old (we had him since we put the pond in) & The temputure change hasnt affected them at all. I live in wisconsin, & right now the temp change is about 20 degree change.. But we havnt had a problem yet.

I dont think you would have to worrie too much.

When the tough times are a coming.. Just keep swimming.....

10 gallon - 4 guppies, 3 Female bettas, 3 corys & 1 Algae eater.

5 gallon - 5 guppies, 2 baby aglae eaters 1 frog & 5 ghost shrimp.

5, 1 gallon tanks - 1 male betta per tank.

1 gallon - Strictly Turmpet snails (aprox. 30)
