I have lost 5 of my 7 Flavus Cichlids due to ammonia poisoning. I learned that i had Cichlid fry that died and were decomposing. I never knew about them. RIP Flavus Cichlids.
My Fish:
10 Gallon:
2x Yoyo Loaches
1x Blue Gourami
1x Feeder Goldfish
38 Gallon:
2x Flavus Cichlids

Wow... 5 out of 7! I'm sorry you had to go through the cycle of death............................................................................. Some of my fish died and it is painful too see it floating around the fish tank.
