| I just set up a 55g aquarium. There are no fish in it yet but I am thinking about future fish choices. I really admire Sailfin tangs. Would my standard 55g tank be big enough to keep a Sailfin tang?

A sailfin tang would probably not fit in your tank. There just wouldnt be enough room for it. Sailfins are really big tangs. In a big tank like a 150 gallon or the 180 gallon system that was the prize in the 20th anniversary contest, the tang would grow to 12" long and probably 20" or more tall.

| Yea thats what i figured. I guess a yellow tang would be out of the question also.

| I have a sailfin, purple and a yellow tang in my 180. I bought them about 3-4" and they really didn't get much bigger in the 3 yrs i've had them. Buy a 2-3" tang (only 1) and it should do fine. Thats my experience. Chris
