I found an ideal way to catch tiny and small unwanted snails with disturbing my tank. I use a Turkey Baster that I bought just for another aquarium use. Sucks them right out of the substrate. It's a snap. Just suck them up, put them in a container and crush them and your good to go!!

| Someone watches too much Food Network~ :) The only problem I find with this method is that a) the snails have to be extremely small and b) you have to knock them around a bit first so they detach from whatever they're anchored to. Oh, that was two problems. Nonetheless, if your problem snails are small, this is a viable option for removal without disturbing tank decor. I like. :)

haha, I have had a turkey baster for exclusive aquarium use for about 6 months now. It's handy for all sorts of thing. I use it to pull waste off the bottom of my 2.5g tank. I use it to start siphons sometimes. I use it to pull unwanted items out of bigger tanks. You can find all kinds of uses for those things when you have one lying around. I love it.

Alrighty. So what if you find one snail, throw it away, and the next day you find another. Is it possible that those are its babies?
