I was wondering if I could keep some shrimp in my crayfish tank ? What would I need to do that ?

55 GALLON TANK
1 Veil Tail Angelfish-Angie
3 Peppered Cories
3 Golden Wonder Killi's
1 Spotted climbing perch
2 Long Fined Zebra Danios
1 Clown Plecos
4 Cherry Barbs
2 Turquoise Severums

1 Sailfin Pleco - Gibby

10 GALLON
1 Crayfish

Well it depends.  How fat and happy do you want your crayfish to be?  ^^

And the other answer is no.  No no,  nononono, no no no, nono no.

Crayfish are predators.  They'll even eat their own kind if they get the chance.  Shrimp will be eaten in a heartbeat; some folks even feed "feeder" shrimp like ghosts to their pet crayfish. 

So straight up, I can't put it much more simply than that.  You can't mix the two.  Don't try it.  With prices on the exotic shrimp these days, you'll be out fifty bucks in a heartbeat and have one grateful crawdaddy.  But I doubt you'll be quite as happy.

Honestly, keeping crayfish drastically limits what you can put in the tank, because they are aggressive predators.  They'll eat anything they can get their pincers on - shrimp, mollusks, small live fish, larger live fish, dead things, plant matter, your fingers....

They should only be kept with larger fish that can take care of themselves, or not at all.
