Well, I broke down and ordered some plants from Aquabotanic.com the other day. I have been having a lot of trouble finding quality, cheap plants other than amazon swords and hornwort at my local stores.
So, within the next 2 days, i'm expecting to receive the following in the mail:
2 Anubias nana narrow leaf
2 Marimo balls (just for fun)
4 Cryptocoryne wendtii red or green
2 Singapore Moss patches
Hopefully they arrive on time and all acclimate well to my tanks. I'm trying to decide which plants to put where, but they all might make it into my 10g. I ended up having to redo the plants in that a bit, since I had a pretty crazy algae bloom for about a week, and the baby tears and most of the rotala decided to kind of melt on me. Its got 2 red Crypts (one of which turned completely green except for the stems), a small wisteria plant, 3 stems of rotala indica (which all the new growth came in green), and some hornwort which is liking the higher light than the 125g tank.
I might also try some of the plants in the 20L, to give the gourami pair and kuhli loaches some more plants for cover.
edit: Oh yah, I'm looking into getting a pressurized CO2 system. I'm talking to a guy who has 2 20lb CO2 tanks he's looking to get rid of. That's probably last me a loooooong time, even on my 125g tank....

Good deal on the CO2 as well. :) Those plants would look great in a 10 gallon, or whatever else you decided to do with them. Good luck!

Does anyone have experience with splitting a CO2 feed from one tank (co2) into 2 aquariums? I'm thinking that if I get a 20lb tank, that ought to support two tanks, especially since one of them is just a 10g.
The major problem I'm seeing is the difference in tank size. One is 125g, the other 10g. Obviously what would be enough for the 125 would be WAY too much for the 10. Any ideas?

Hmm. I think it would work...you could kink the line or attach a cinch of some sort to reduce flow into the 10g and direct it to the 125g. It would have to be a pretty tight constriction, though, considering the nature of the pressure coming from the CO2 tank.

| Yes, I think that the 10 gallon would be overloaded with CO2. I am so jealous of you with the Marimo Balls. Lucky... I've always wanted one. They have an aesthetic value about them that I really can't resist. Don't forget pictures! I'd like to see how well the Marimo transports.
